Whoop! you're good with humans too! Time for me to train to get on the same level as you and rat in 5 years too haha xD Okay, I think it doesn't look like JJ just because it's black and white, instead I think it looks a lot more detailed and has a perfect look of water/wet stuff
would it be ok for me to "destroy this"?(that's the term i use for when i would like to preform digital magic to it and give it a unique look) it's not a pleasant label i know but it's good for a laugh when i tell artists in person that i want to destroy there masterpieces. of course i give credit for the original piece and i'll put a link to the original as well to avoid any kind of copyright issues.
It's actually not that complicated You choose a base shade for the skin in general, then take a darker shade and blend it around the edges. For the shine, I erased the base color with the eraser set to a medium opacity. And thank you of course <3
I agree with you completely about the difficulty of hitting the right balance when it comes to artistic nudity. Compounding the whole issue is that different people have wildly different opinions about what constitutes tastefulness!
In the case of this particular image, however, I believe you struck an excellent balance that will satisfy the majority of individuals. You have your subject in a completely innocent, non-suggestive scenario (just getting out of the shower). Furthermore, this is a situation in which nudity is to be expect; it's one of those rare occasions where nudity is the norm, and clothing would be considered unusual. Finally, you do not actually show any parts of the anatomy that some individuals find offensive.
All of these factors combine into a piece that accentuates the natural beauty of the female form in a matter that beautifies rather than objectifies. I would think an individual would have to be very sensitive indeed to find fault with this particular piece!
Not to mention that ponies don't usually wear clothes, anyway.
Wow, what a great analysis O.O Though I didn't have all these explanations in my head when I drew this, I just decided that a towel and post-shower scene would be nice and not too kinky But you sum it up really well. I sure hope no one will prove you wrong and be offended anyway ^^
Well, when it comes to the internet, there's always gonna be someone who will be offended at anything. But honestly, anyone who gets offended at this lovely picture is clearly not the intended audience, and you shouldn't worry about it. The sort of people thin-skinned enough to get bent out of shape so easily are the same philistines that think that the Venus de Milo or Michelangelo's David should be censored. They wouldn't know art if it came to life and slapped them across the face!
